ARVADA — The defending Class 6A state champion nor the descending polar vortex could cool off the white hot Ralston Valley boys basketball team.

The Mustangs (12-0 record, 3-0 in 6A Jeffco) never trailed Valor Christian (9-4, 2-1) on Jan. 17 at Ralston Valley High School. Ralston Valley’s 65-58 victory kept the Mustangs on pace with Rangeview (12-0) as the lone two remaining undefeated teams in 6A.

ARVADA — Ralston Valley’s boys basketball found a way Tuesday night.

The Mustangs (8-0 record) remained undefeated on the season by shaking off a pesky Broomfield squad at Ralston Valley High School. The Eagles actually grabbed a brief 56-55 lead midway through the fourth quarter, but Ralston Valley managed to rally to take a 69-64 win.

LITTLETON — Ralston Valley junior Frank Psaute played the role of The Grinch on Tuesday night at Dakota Ridge High School. The junior guard sucked the holiday cheer from the home crowd pouring in a game-high 20 points in the Mustangs’ 68-58 come-from-behind victory over Dakota Ridge.

According to the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) and PSAT/SAT, Jeffco students' reading, math and science scores outperformed the state averages. All high school and most elementary school results demonstrate strong academic growth for Jeffco students, exceeding expected state growth for nearly all tests.
